When we think about Start-ups, the first thing that comes to our mind is a bunch of crazy people with lots of josh having almost same wavelength of thought, bound together by a common purpose to chase a worthy cause. The cause might be a product or a service or it may be commercial or social but the idea is to do something to uplift the living conditions of the common man. As it starts taking shape more crazier people with heavy pockets buy-in into that dream. With external funding the organizations start looking for like minded people & start growing. 

But what about those start-ups who are bootstrapped, as they couldn’t get a buy-in from VCs or investors. How do they grow their team.

As per www.startupindia.gov.in in 2018 India had around 50000 start-ups and the rate of growth of start-ups is roughly at a rate of 15% p.a. Out of this hardly 20% get external funding. So a back of the envelope calculation tells us that in 2020 there are roughly 54000 start-ups who don’t have external funding to grow.
